    How To Set Up A CNAME System For A Website

    Hello Friends,

    I have set up a useful utility .I want that every one should be able to use it with their own brand name.Hence I wanted to setup a CNAME service for my website.Like, for example when we change the CNAME record of domain(domain.com) or sub domain(sub.domain.com) to xyz.supersite.myorderbox.com(A domain registration website), we can browse xyz.supersite.myorderbox.com by opening domain.com or sub.domain.com .

    I wanted the same setup for my website.Do you have any idea of how to do that.If you can suggest any available pre existing script, then that would be of great help.Any kind of help would be heartly appreciated.

    Thanks and regards,

    u usually change the domain CNAME etc through the domain control panel, found on the control panel provided by the company who hosts the domain.

    Im not sure if u can change within PHP on the "fly" also changing these can often take a 1 - 24 hours to proper gate through the DNS servers.

    If you are just wanting a redirect so that when sum1 enters "mydomain.com" they are redirected to "subdomain.mydomain.com". U shud set up a default page in the root domain called index.php

    index.php
    Code:
    <?
    header("Location: http://subdomain.mydomain.com");
    ?>
