    Md5

I'm trying would to encript the login and password for the users of my site. I am wondering to use the md5 algorithm to encript them but i was thinking that the use of this algorithm is on server side, so data travels through internet without any protection.

My question is if there is a way to encript them without using an SSL connection.

    Thanks.
