    move_uploaded_file won't move uploaded file

I currently am using the function to move an image to a folder (chmodded 0777), however the file doesn't move. What makes my problem a WTF is that the function when var_dump-ed returns a bool(true). As well, using the file_exists() function for the uploaded file also comes up true. Both the move_uploaded_file and file_exists functions tell me the file has been moved however the file never appears in FTP. So what gives?

Are you looking in right directory? And make sure you refresh the directory, too. Quite the odd scenario indeed.

yea it's in the right directory. I have two of the move_uploaded_files functions in a single function. The first one deals with uploading multiple file uploads (like file[] inputs) and that portion of the script works fine. The second function uploads only if theres a single file upload not an array, and that's where the problem comes about. the second move_uploaded_files doesn't send the file to another folder it just sends nothing.
