Dreamweaver MX has PHP support, Dreamweaver 4 hadn't the last time I looked into it. There might be an extension somewhere out there to cater for this.

The thing to remember is that as long as your webserver has PHP support...that's all that really matters. You can create/modify PHP files in any program...even notepad.

So...yes...you can just create files in DW4 with the .php extension. The only thing you might run into is DW has the ability to format your code...but this is something you can disable in Options. Personally...I like the way I format it...not the way DW does...

Well it doesn't necessarily rearrange your code. It just formats it properly. And in DW MX it has PHP support integrated into it so it formats PHP code quite nicely for us lazy typers.
