    symbol (GBP) not always displaying....

    Hi all, im developing a php management system but have some issues with (GBP) symbol not always showing. sometimes its the [] square type icon usually ofund when using a dodgy character somewhere.

    im using <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /> eveywhere. older pages i created seem to display fine but recently pages seem to struggle. the last one i just added another <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /> above the problem area and it worked. this time i cannot seem to get it working.

    how on earth can 2 pages using the same encoding display different things? both pages use the same php file for the encoding and whole head section!

    v confused... any ideas?

    Try using
    Code:
    &pound;
    instead of
    Code:
    &#163;
    and if you need any more symbols, check this out.
