    Parse Error

    I am getting the following error:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_ENCAPSED_AND_WHITESPACE, expecting T_STRING or T_VARIABLE or T_NUM_STRING in /homepages/41/d245653625/htdocs/gaming/register.php on line 56

    Line 56:
    PHP Code:
    <td width='60%' valign='center' align='center' background='$config[cellbg]'><input type='text' name='".$member['name']."' value='$member['name']' class='input' size='40' maxlength='15'></td
    Any Ideas?

    Hmm I don't have time to review all the code. I thought maybe changing

    Code:
    background='$config[cellbg]'>
    to double quotes

    Code:
    background="$config[cellbg]">

    That wouldn't be causing the error because line 55 has the same:
    Code:
    <td width='40&#37;' valign='center' align='left' background='$config[cellbg]'>*Username</td>
    and it doesn't generate errors

    I'm suspicious about places where you're doing this
    name='".$member['name']."'

    Sometimes you do the string append (with the period),
    other times you don't. Eliminate all of those and see
    what happens.

    ok, I removed the periods and now I am receiving this error:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_VARIABLE in /homepages/41/d245653625/htdocs/gaming/register.php on line 56

    How about one of these.

    Code:
    background='$config['cellbg']'>
    or

    Code:
    background='".$config['cellbg']."'>
    I have a feeling one of those will work if you try them both.

    This is one of those deals where the original poster won't give us a real link.
    If we could see what he's been doing ... what's actually on the webpage ...
    that would sure help.

    Yeah it would because right now we're blind guessing on things. I can only find corrections on that part which is problem not the problem at all.
