Does anyone have a PHP page that will duplicate what eDirectory does?

    I really need it....

    Thank you very very much.

eDirectory is the single most complex piece of software I've ever used. I swear that it has literally hundreds of scripts, but I can't recall if they are in PHP or if they are written in JSP - I figure JSP since the Netware interface is written in java. I can't help you on this, is just way too big and I don't know of anyone who has create a project out of this sorry.
    BTW, Netware rocks.
    PHP Code:
    header('HTTP/1.1 420 Enhance Your Calm');

I don't mean the whole WYSIWYG editor and all.

I just need PHP that will duplicate the search results the same way...

    thanks

I still don't know of any scripts for this. The ldap support for php is unlikely to include easy access to eDirectory, thats why I'm still thinking that the scripts are written in jsp instead of php.

It is PHP. I was told so by eDirectory, plus, do a search on an eDirectory hosted site.

    http://parentchild411.com/results.php?keyword=apple

    realize, results.PHP

    i need that results.php function...
i do have some backend info on the site that i got from their support...
    Code:
    Field Type Null Default
    id int(11) Yes NULL
if that means anything, but that table is really long...

are we talking about the same thing? why would a web host need an LDAP directory? Plus, they use Windows and Linux...
    edirectory.com

Yes we are talking about different things.
eDirectory is Novel Netware's central database supporting all of its servers, users and workststions - somewhat like Windows Server Active Directory. eDirectory is awesome for massive organizations with 250,000+ users to support, and global in scale. This: http://www.novell.com/products/edirectory/ is the eDirectory I thought you were talking about.

What you are looking at appears to be more like an advanced CMS or a content management system. They appear to link their components into any site they create, and charge a monthly charge for rental of their software. Depending on what you want to do with it, there are many free CMS systems available for use; PHPNuke has been around forever, Joomla is a newer one that looks promising, Wordpress etc. These CMS systems may provide you with what you are looking to do.

If you are looking to create a custom CMS system specialized for you, you will be looking at $500 - $7000 depending on you're requirements and commerce usage.

    Edit:
Oh yes, don't forget that Google has searches and maps that can be combined into you're own site code. This lets you save the work by giving it to google to handle. A lot of what eDirectory.com has is localized searching and member services. Between a free CMS and you're own creations you can probably emulate a lot of what it does (though definitely not everything)
