Last one: How do I have a variable increased by one whenever a page is visited.......

.......I have a file called post.php, this needs to write the value of $pnumber to a txt file.

Its not a hit counter for post.php, I need it for creating a file called:

    $pnumber.txt

And each post is of course 1 more than the pnumber of its predecessor.

    thanks in advance.

    Hey

I doubt thats what he means.

I think he wants it like page hits, in which case, MySQL would be the best option...?
