Interacting with a cold Fusion server?

Hi. I have my website, which runs on PHP, and I want it to be able to share data with another website which is run on Cold Fusion. What I want do be able to do is have the CF server query my server and have my server return some contents from the database in XML format.

So what ways could I use to establish this sort of connection? The other server is in Germany. All my server will need from it is a small list of numbers, and whatever is needed to confirm the connection. Then my server returns the XML doc and all is well.

Anyone have any ideas on how to do this?

That sounds as if your problem is not with your php script, but rather with the CF server. There must of course be some script (web service?) that runs on the CF server and which has to send a request to your server. Is that already the case or is that the missing part? In case of the latter, I fear the audience of this forum is not that ColdFusion-sawy to help you out.
