    php contact form

    Hello:

    I don't know if this is the right place, but my question is, I'm trying to edit a contact form from tectite.com and want to add fields. Am I suppose to add the hidden fields on the actual html page or in the php or where?

    <input type="hidden" name="partnum" value="partnum"/>

    Here is the page I'm talking about...

    http://jordansautosalvage.com/contact.html

    Thanks for any help.

    I had a look at the html source on your contact form. There's a bunch of hidden variables that isn't needed at all. For example, line 174 has:

    Code:
    <input type="hidden" name="address" value="address"/>
    but then in line 192 you again have

    Code:
    <textarea name='address' rows='3' cols='25'
          wrap='physical'></textarea>
    You don't need to make "address" hidden and then create a text area for it. That's kinda like creating a variable twice.

    What exactly are you tryin to achive? Maybe I can help
