Help! Regarding storing data.
I wasnt sure where to put this, but here goes. I am creating a website (using php) which users will be able to add details of themselves such as pictures, comments and a personal profile (sort of similar to Facebook).
Considering there may be alot of users, each with their own personal profile...what is the best way of storing this type of data? ie. mysql, xml etc.
Cheers guys...any help is appreciated!

A relational database is ideal be that MySQL or some other.
Basically if you ever need to search though some data its best in a DB, XML is fine in practice but slow to parse.
I personally would not recommend you keep images inside the DB by the way, just searchable data.
MVC is the current buzz in web application architectures. It comes from event-driven desktop application design and doesn't fit into web application design very well. But luckily nobody really knows what MVC means, so we can call our presentation layer separation mechanism MVC and move on. (Rasmus Lerdorf)
