    Useless trivia

    Hi all ...

Append the following nameless GET var to the end of any php URL:

    Code:
    ?=PHPE9568F36-D428-11d2-A769-00AA001ACF42
(Doesn't work with every PHP installation)

    E.g.: http://www.codingforums.com/?=PHPE95...9-00AA001ACF42

(It's funny what you find when you're bored!)

I have seen that before. Some people refer to it as the Easter Egg of PHP, or something along those lines.

anyway, if you're still bored, you may wish to check these out as well.

Not a security issue at all....unless you believe that hiding PHP as the underlying processing language is a security bonus.

The code is generated by an undocumented PHP function called php_egg_logo_guid() and just like any function, I guess you can disable it in php.ini file if you have access to it...or perhaps compile PHP from source if you know the howto.

Just found a link which explains how to disable this function
