    Php classes

    Does anyone know of where I can get information on taking classes on PHP in Virginia? I know the big university here does it, but it's thousands to take it. I want a small class or just a invd. teacher 1 on 1 teaching.

    Here's my alternative suggestion;

    Download a couple e-books and read them
    View one or many online web tutorials

    In my experience you don't really need to go and take classes on
    doing PHP, it's a fairly easy language and you can learn it from
    a online tutorial or e-book and if you ever need 1 on 1 help later
    you've always got this forum or one of many php IRC chatrooms.

    Luckily I used html for many years, so that helps learning php. But with php I have a hard time reading about it.

    If I had an interactive tutorial like ruby does
    http://tryruby.hobix.com/
    it'd be incredibly easier to learn.

    I think this site does a very good job of explaining PHP.
    Most of my questions/posts are fairly straightforward and simple. I post long verbose messages in an attempt to be thorough.
