    PHP4 or 5

Right now I can get really cheap hosting. The only bad thing is that it has PHP 4. What is the difference and will I ever need it?

PHP4 is outdated now. PHP5 has many more useful functions, and is much faster. There's plenty of other places with PHP5 that are cheap.
    "$question = ( to() ) ? be() : ~be();"

Which one should I use? Windows 1.0 or Windows 2.0? Or 3.0?

    Hmmm.

I donno, Windows 2.0 is cheaper but I think I might have to splurge since Windows 3.0 has advanced graphics with 16 colors, and full support of the Intel 386 processor

    Wow, is that out already?

Get a host with PHP5. PHP4's end of life is in about 5 weeks. If your host doesn't offer PHP5 then you need to find another host.

php 6 is coming. I would take the php5 package. php4 will be un-supported soon.

    you havn't tried freehostia.com.. did u ?

signup for a banerless hosting plan for a year.
they have some restriction on it.. no hotlinking and smtp off.. everything else is working absolutely fine.

    250mb space
    php5
    mysql database 2
    pop
    ftp account
    webmail
    etc

and their value package will cost you $23.4.

btw... am just telling u its not an advertisement. at the moment I am using their free account and will be upgrading to valued hosting plan.
