    404 page redirect

    Hello,

I have just replaced static html files with a single php page/id based file system.

I was wondering if anyone had a script that could do the following:

take a requested url (www.???.com/whatever.html) and if it doesn't exist, shoot them to a custom 404 page. On this 404 page, there is a script that says "if request was www.???.com/whatever.html, then redirect to www.???.com/this.php. The script could refer to a file with an array/list of old htmls and the new php page.

Yes, I know I can just do a meta-redirect in the title section of each html file, but I am trying to avoid leaving any old html files in the original directories.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
