    Please HELP

    I need a way to check when an inut on a html form is not empty and have it create a variable that PHP can see on the same page BEFORE the form is submitted or have an extra hidden field to be created whenever postcode is not empty. Whichever is easier. I tried using PHP $_REQUEST but it doesnt seem to work until after the form is submitted so I think javascript might have a solution?

    <input name="postcode" type="text" style="width:85px; font-family:tahoma; font-size:11px " size="12" select="select" />

    You'll have to use JavaScript to check it before the form is submitted. PHP won't be able to check it without submitting the form.
