Hi,

I have a text field in my form with a default value of "Member". But when a user edits the form it duplicates it. So now they see "MemberMember" in the field. So, everytime its updated it adds another one. Is it possible for the default value not to duplicate? Any help would be appreciated.

Below is the form with only two fields. The first one has the default value that will never change.

<form name="mem" id="mform" method="post" action="./member_edit.php" onsubmit="return check(this)" />

<fieldset>
<legend>Details</legend>

<label for='edit_m1'>Member
PHP Code:
<?php
$cellvalue
"";
if ((!isset(
$_GET["edit_m1"])) && (!isset($_POST["edit_m1"]))) {

$itemvalue $row[1];
} else {

$itemvalue qsrequest("edit_m1");
}

$cellvalue "<input type=\"text\" name=\"edit_m1\" value=\"Member" qsreplace_html_quote(stripslashes($itemvalue)) . "\" size=\"30\"  maxlength=\"24\" >";
    if (
$cellvalue == "") {

$cellvalue "&nbsp;";
    }
    echo
$cellvalue;
?>
</label>

<label for='edit_m1'>Location
PHP Code:
<?php
$cellvalue
"";
if ((!isset(
$_GET["edit_m2"])) && (!isset($_POST["edit_m2"]))) {

$itemvalue $row[2];
} else {

$itemvalue qsrequest("edit_m2");
}

$cellvalue "<input type=\"text\" name=\"edit_m2\" value=\"" qsreplace_html_quote(stripslashes($itemvalue)) . "\" size=\"30\"  maxlength=\"24\" >";
    if (
$cellvalue == "") {

$cellvalue "&nbsp;";
    }
    echo
$cellvalue;
?>
</label>

</fieldset>

<input type="submit" name="submit" value="Update" />

</form>
