    Programming help Forums exist to solve programming problems. Basic "how do I.." questions are not programming problems, they are research tasks. [Hmm.. Might put that in my signature line.]

    If you ask a bunch of "I did not bother to try and find the answer to this first so I want someone to tell me.." questions, you will find that when you have a genuine programming problem that you need help in figuring out, that you might not get a quick or detailed answer, because your allotment of patience will have been used up in the answering of the research type questions.
    If you are learning PHP, developing PHP code, or debugging PHP code, do yourself a favor and check your web server log for errors and/or turn on full PHP error reporting in php.ini or in a .htaccess file to get PHP to help you.
