    link

I am displaying data from the database in a table using "echo"
I want to make one of the data entries a link.
When i use the <a> tag within php it doesnt work.

    Here's the code i'm trying

    PHP Code:
    echo "<td width = 20% class = style6><a href = updatecheck.php?name="$link;">" $row['Name'] . "</href></td>"
I've checked all the variables and they work

    Any ideas?

The proper syntax for a link is -
    Code:
    <a href="url">Text to be displayed</a>
If you are learning PHP, developing PHP code, or debugging PHP code, do yourself a favor and check your web server log for errors and/or turn on full PHP error reporting in php.ini or in a .htaccess file to get PHP to help you.

    You need a '.' after $link, not a colon.
