    Unable to run CGI in Firefox

    Hello everybody,

    I am using Win XP SP2 and I have written a small program using Perl/CGI.
    Everything is working fine in Internet Explorer, but the problem comes in Firefox.

    When I tried in Firefox, it is not parsing the .cgi file, instead it is showing a dialog box, asking me to open or save it.

    I have attached the screen shot for this error.

    Do anyone has this problem ? Can anyone provide me some ways of getting rid pf this ?

    Thanks in Advance

    Nothing to do with Firefox, really, except that MSIE guesses right on the mime type and content type and Firefox requires the server actually do it right.
    CGI runs on the server, not in the browser.

    Your server is not sending the correct mime type and content type for cgi files.

    If this post contains any code, I may or may not have tested it. It's probably just example code, so no getting knickers in a bunch over a typo, OK? If it doesn't have basic error checking in it, such as object detection or checking if objects are null before using them, put that in there. I'm giving examples, not typing up your whole app for you. You run code at your own risk.

    It worked...
    Thank you nikkiH....

    I included the statement

    Code:
    print "Content-type:text/html\n\n";
    After this when I tried in Firefox, it displayed the page correctly...
