    Question whats the best way

    whats the best way ,for users of my web page to post comments on and for other users to reply to them as i want to write a script for this in cgi please

    Do you want users to be able to post comments on things like articles or webpages you've written? And will the users be registered users or just anonymous browsers?

    Personally I'd be inclined to just have comment-adding script which is linked to from each webpage where you want users to be able to add their comments, and in which the comments are stored in a text file specific to that webpage, and the textfiles are then included via SSI.

    I could post you some code to explain what I'm thinking slightly better if you want...?
