Hiding script location on NT server

    Hi all

I'm using YABB (a bulletin board script) on an NT server. I'd like to hide the URL of the script if possible. I'm aware of the frame solution to this, but it doesn't exactly suit my needs. htaccess won't work as its NT, but is there an equivalent process for IIS or another solution that may work?

I've posted the question to the YABB forums with no luck to date.

    Cheers

    Cam

ps wasn't sure if I should put this here or in general web forum.

why doesn't .htaccess work on NT? I'm running my server with .htaccess support on a Win98 and a WinXP server working. (I use Apache 1.3.26)

He said he was using IIS Chris, not Apache

What exactly are you trying to do here? Not sure what you mean by 'hide the url' of the script...

HIding script location on NT server

    Hi

Sorry for the miscommunication: the hosting is on IIS rather than Apache.

The intent is to hide the URL in the browser address bar, to simply make it a little cleaner as well as to obscure the directory structure:

    e.g. www.mydomain.com/CGI-BIN/YABB/yabb.pl

    to www.mydomain.com/discussion

This isn't critical but would be nice to have.

    Cheers

    Cam
