I have a Perl script called Powerseek SQL, it is the only Perl I have ever used and am looking for some advice on how to add a feature.
The script is essentially a directory/cms with a feature that checks if a backlink is present before allowing a submission.
This is good but I would like it to do the following.
On each listing I would like a visitor to be able to request a link exchange from any particular listing.
Once this has been clicked, the link owner is then notified of the request and can approve/decline.
If approved, the meta tags need to be fetched and offered to the requestee who can add the info to their page, and submit the URL of the page where the link resides.
The script needs to check if the link is present on the given webpage, and if so prompt the member who received the link to reciprocate.
Can point me in the direction to a starting point for this project.
Thanks in advance, TPH
