    Path to Perl

    My CGI scripts are not working, I have been in touch with my server to find out the path to perl, they say it is D:\Additional\Perl\bin\Perl.exe. Is this right, and if so how do I impliment it into the script to work.

    Line 1 of the script is called the "shebang" line and is where you put the path to perl.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shebang_%28Unix%29

    The shebang line is mainly a *nix thing, but is occasionally used on Windows systems.

    Windows uses the file extension to associate it with the program that interprets/processes the script, but some applications on Windows, such as the apache web server, will use the shebang line instead of the file extension.

    So, in your case, the shebang line will be:
    #!D:\Additional\Perl\bin\Perl.exe
    You may need to use forward slashes instead of the backslashes in that path.
