    Post Web Designer/Developer

    Hi,

My name is Michael Crilly, I'm a 20 year old freelance web design/developer. I'm currently working full time as a debt collector for a mobile telephone service provider, but in my spare time I like to design, develop, implement and maintain web sites (though at present I'm currently not working on any)

I'm currently looking for work to build a professional portfolio that I can use as an example base for potential clients to view. Since I don't have much of a portfolio now (pretty much nothing at the moment) I'm prepared to do work fairly cheap or even the first couple of jobs for free.

Here is a skill matrix of what I can offer you as a potential client...

    • HTML 4.01 & XHTML 1.0 Strict (Proficient/Proficient)
    • CSS 1 & 2 (Moderate)
    • PHP (Moderate)
    • Website Design Theory and Implementation (Moderate)
    • Website Development Theory and Implementation (Moderate)
    • Accessibility Theory and Implementation (Moderate)
    • I Understand, Acknowledge and Comply with Web Standards (Proficient)
    • Graphics design with Photoshop 5, 6 & 7 (Moderate, I use PS7)

I don't claim to be excellent or the best, but I can do a (very) good job most of the time.

Sadly I currently have no examples of my work online, but hope to have within a week or so of this post.

If you're interested in offering any work, please e-mail me at info@ragdollstudios.com (ragdollstudios.com will soon be up)

I'm only accepting offers from serious clients that have a site generating a good amount of visits. At present I may even do some work for free to build a small portfolio with, to then hopefully go on to do more work.

    Thank you for reading.

I welcome your posts but you're probably going to need to show some work to get potential clients, this is how the game works. I would recommend doing some fake mock up sites on your own to showcase your talents (they don't need to be huge) or offer free sites to non-profits you can find on the web. But a portfolio of your skills is essential

    Hi,

Indeed a small portfolio would be great, I just have to build one. I'm going to get my ragdollstudios.com site up and place a portfolio of non-existant websites up on there for viewing.

I think 3-5 should do it, and I may even be able to get 1-2 real online sites for viewing (not including the ragdollstudios.com website it's self).

Hope to hear from you soon.
