Senior Programmer / Programmer Analyst / Team Leader
The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge and understanding of IT practices with particular concentration on programming and testing methodologies. This is an excellent career opportunity for a highly motivated individual with outstanding analytical, interpersonal and organizational skills with a high aptitude for leadership.
Experience in applying structured methodologies in the design, development, implementation and maintenance of applications
Experience and intimate knowledge with the following systems:
- Unix environment (linux or freebsd)
- Sockets (in the unix environment)
- Assembly (in the context of the unix environment and C++)
- Database Development
- Thread Programming (in the context of the unix environment and C++)
Experience debugging programs using core dump files generated in unix type operating systems
Knowledge and experience with programming Internet-ready applications
The following are not required but their knowledge is highly recommended:
- shell script
- Windows programming
College or University Degree in computer science or related field
Minimum 4 years post-University work experience
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, interpersonal skills and verbal and written communication skills, positive attitude
Natural leader able to work on several projects concurrently with a proven track record for successfully meeting deadlines
Commensurate with experience.
