    ISS 5 installation

How can I install IIS 5 on my xp home edition laptop. Without upgrading it to Windows 2000 or XP pro. i upgraded my home computer to xp pro. Can I use that disk to install just IIS 5.0 component in my laptop and not having to upgrade the entire OS.

No, you must have XP Pro to have IIS. That's one of the things MS did to justify the huge difference in price between two essentially similar versions of the OS.

    The short answer is no.

The long answer is there are some hacks you can find with google, but you'll be on your own if you encounter problems.
