    populate PDF Forms with linux/apache/php/mysql

Our users submit data via pdf files on the web. Such as request for time off. Now I am being asked to populate the form for edit. I am looking for recommendations on the best method.

I looked at adobe's method and did not see how to run this on linux.

I see pdflib can do this, but first I need to convert the forms to block mode.

Any suggestions for direction is appreciated.

    Thanks

Never done that, but why would someone fill out a PDF on the web?
why not give them a regular html-form that you then convert to a PDF-file when required. (or actually, that you process with PHP, store the data in the MySQL db and then generate the PDF on the fly with PHP and inject the data from the MySQL db. (which is what i always do)
