Viewing local IIS on remote computer

I installed IIS on my local computer, but whenever I have people try to type in my IP address to view the site, they can't get in. Is there a setting I missed so that I can get incoming website requests from outside my network? This also goes for the FTP as well.

    Thanks

can the other users ping your machine? or do you have an ip-address in the private range? do you use a firewall? or a router?

Sounds like your firewall is blocking the traffic to the web server. You need to configure it so that it allows incomming traffic on port 80 for IIS or whatever port your website is running on.
