Hi,
In eclipse, i create a new tomcat project and named it as
MyProject. i changed the default location of this project to
/opt/tomcat/webapps from /root (/root is the default folder on my
system)
now i create a new package say MyPack by right-clicking on
MyProject and choosing New>Package. immediately in Eclipse, the
package is created. on this package, i click on New>Class and in the
editor i type my servlet code(MyServlet.java). now while creating the
web.xml for this servlet, how are the tags<servlet-class> and
<url-pattern> be specified or is the following correct:

<web-app>
<servlet>
<servlet-name>MySer</servlet-name>
<servlet-class>MyPack.MyServlet</servlet-class>
</servlet>

<servlet-mapping>
<servlet-name>MySer</servlet-name>
<url-pattern>/MyServlet</url-pattern>
</servlet-mapping>
</web-app>

thanks in advance and waiting to hear from you.
[i am using tomcat5.0 with sysdeo tomcat plug-in. the eclipse and
tomcat are installed in the folders: /opt/eclipse and /opt/tomcat]
