    Exclamation .htaccess + ErrorDocument

Guys ... I currently have my directory protected at www.juzerweb.com/secure/ with .htaccess file in the secure directory ... however, when i try to add ErrorDocument code to it ... the entire site stops functioning ...

can anyone show me an example of adding ErrorDocument 404 blah blah in .htacces WITH password protection already in .htaccess file?

I just can't seem to get it to work .. its driving me nuts .. I've looked at file access ... its permissions .. everything .. it just won't work

I tried putting ErrorDocument code above AuthType .. BELOW "require user blah blah" .. but it just turns down my entire site and nothing shows up on www.juzerweb.com

    any help will be apprecaited

Typically the best way to do this is to keep your error redirects at the global level htaccess, in your root directory. The only thing you really need in your password protection is the password protection, since the global commands will still affect the protected directory with it's global commands, unless there are any commands in the protected area which over-ride the global directives.
