I am trying to delete "duplicates" out of one table I have (currently in MS Access, although ultimately will be transfered to MySQL). These "duplicates" are not actually exact copies of other records; rather the 'order ID number' (which is not the pk id, but still is indexed and should be unique) is replicated with the attached record info. being different. I have gone through the table and have created a new table containing the records I wish to delete. So I'm basically trying to find a query that will subtract the second table from the first. I have tried:
Code:
SELECT t1.*
FROM FlatDB AS t1, JunkDB AS t2
WHERE t1.id_PK=t2.PK;
but I get an error saying 'Could not delete from specified table." Can anyone help me figure out why I'm getting this error, or is there another way to do this?
