    solved. why cant we delete posts anymore?

    Because we don't want people posting threads and then removing them once they have solved the problem.

    The whole point of the discussion forum is to provide a repository of information so that the community as a whole can learn from it rather than post and delete once the original poster is satisfied they have their answer.

    But you could delete posts only a few days ago.

    the policy was recently changed because of people deleting their posts. only the moderator of a forum can now delete a post.
