    Can't Copy/Delete/Rename ibdata1

    Hey All,

I'm trying to copy mysql/data/ from wamp server stack on my desktop, to identical server on my tablet, but I get the error 'Cannot delet ibdata1; It is being used by another person or program." etc. Neither server is running. No idea what is "using" ibdata1. What can I do?

    Thanks

The better question, is why are you copying directories?
You probably want to export the database as sql, to be reimported elsewhere, rather than faffing about with the core files.

    Code:
    mysqldump --database=dbname --user=username --password > dump.sql
    ...somewhere else...
    mysql --database=newdbname --user=username --password < dump.sql
