    mysqli_free_result ... why?

I understand it is good practice to use the
    Code:
    mysqli_free_result
    function...

can anyone offer an (english) explanation of why this is important? What could happen without it?

As stated in the PHP manual, Frees the memory associated with the result. Freeing the memory will be important if you have a large result set. Do understand that the memory will be freed when the script ends so you may not need to specifically free the results.
