Creating a Database-based Application
I'm going to be developing a new web application and need some help getting started on the project.
Basically, what I am looking for is to have a website of about 20 pages. Each of these pages is an individual training lesson. I already have all the pages designed and ready to go.
Users to the site should be able to register and log in. As the user progresses through each lesson, he/she will be able to mark one as completed, which is stored in the database. The user will then be able to see which lessons are completed and which are yet to be completed on a separate page. In addition, the user can store various notes on a particular page which are recalled next time he/she opens that page.
I have a feeling this will be written in PHP/MySQL. I have a new MySQL database available so that is not an issue.
However, my programming knowledge in both of those is extremely limited.
If anybody can guide me in the right direction on how I can begin something like this, I would immensely appreciate it.
Thanks in advance!
