    Sending Perl Variables to mySQL?

    Hey Everyone,

I need to send perl variables to the mysql database(which is already set up) to be stored. I know how to pass variables from php to mysql, but really need to know how to do it with perl(and therefore avoiding to have to 'convert' 600+ lines of perl code to php). Help?

    Thanks.

can a mod please move this to the perl forum.

OK, firstly, you'll need to connect to the db.
then you'll need to build an insert statement.

post your code so far and I'll see if I can help.

When you construct the query string , put that perl variable in the query string like "select * from table where id='$perlvariable'" ; ,etc.
