    Multi-lingual

    Hi all,

i m going to have a multi languages website, there are chinese, france, english & Japanese. What is the best way to store the data so i have no need to worry about the charset setting in the interface? How can MySQL 4 to handle those "special characters"???

If i m going to use php/asp to develop this web based system?

    Thanks.
    Thanks.

mysql 4.0 can't while mysql 4.1 can if i'm remembering correctly. there is better collation support on 4.1

I think there are issues with supporting chinese characters as far as ordering them etc. but don't have a link to provide you off-hand.

you can change the collation/character set on a per table basis so you should have no problems there.
