<DmncAtrny> I will write on a huge cement block "BY ACCEPTING THIS BRICK THROUGH YOUR WINDOW, YOU ACCEPT IT AS IS AND AGREE TO MY DISCLAIMER OF ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AS WELL AS DISCLAIMERS OF ALL LIABILITY, DIRECT, INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL, THAT MAY ARISE FROM THE INSTALLATION OF THIS BRICK INTO YOUR BUILDING."
<DmncAtrny> And then hurl it through the window of a Sony officer

You can use PHP to upload the file on the server and add it to a conversion queue. However, actually invoking ffmpeg is a command line call. While you could theoretically do this from PHP, it would take forever for a user to see a response unless you have serious - SERIOUS - server power.

I've done something like this in the past. There's a good amount of work to get this set up fluidly. If you're interested in a quote, PM me.
