    Looking for AJAX/Java script

    I'm looking for an AJAX script that if it is include by PHP, will blur out the site, and then put a box up with a message.
    Like in the image below:

    ajax framework eh.... looks quite helpful...

    shame the site isnt clear in its documentation ...

    Basic idea:

    Effect.Fade("domIdToFade",{to: 0.5;queue:'parallel'});
    Effect.Grow("domIdToShow",{queue:'parallel'});

    great pointers alien

    though i think he is looking for a standalone script that doesnt need an entire framework
