    Menu Rollovers Hide Behind Flash Movie

    hello-
    this is both a javascript and flash issue, so i've posted this in both forums (sorry to be redundant).
    i have a javascript menu with rollovers next to a flash movie. whenever you roll over the menu, the sublinks appear behind the movie in safari, and flicker (and are unclickable) in firefox. i tried inserting this line in the html:
    <param name="wmode" value="transparent">
    and that fixed the issue in explorer, but not the other two. i've tried messing with absolute positioning + z-indexes, but to no avail.
    because this is a flash/javascript issue, im unsure which segments of code to include, but here's the flash part:

    <object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=8,0,0,0" width="342" height="310" id="index" align="middle">
    <param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain" />
    <param name="movie" value="index.swf" />
    <param name="quality" value="high" />
    <param name="bgcolor" value="#ffffff" />
    <param name="wmode" value="transparent" />
    <embed src="index.swf" quality="high" bgcolor="#ffffff" width="342" height="310" name="index" align="middle" allowScriptAccess="sameDomain" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" />
    </object>

    and you can view the whole page here (it's a mess, i know):

    any help will be greatly appreciated! thanks!

    Make the Flash movie transparent and specify this in the EMBED as well. Try:

    Code:
    <object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=8,0,0,0" width="342" height="310" id="index" align="middle">
    <param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain" />
    <param name="movie" value="index.swf" />
    <param name="quality" value="high" />
    <param name="bgcolor" value="#ffffff" />
    <param name="wmode" value="transparent" />
    <embed src="index.swf" wmode="transparent" quality="high" bgcolor="#ffffff" width="342" height="310" name="index" align="middle" allowScriptAccess="sameDomain" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" />
    </object>
