    Reading written text

    On my webpage I have a script that writes some text from an rss feed. My question is, is there a way for me to implement a scanner over my text that will bold certain words, or for that matter, make changes to the text depending on what I want to program?

    I could program it myself if I knew a few basic methods to check out (that is, if this is feasible to begin with)
