Hello,
I am using image preload to load 6 images when the pages load.
Then i am swapping the images every couple of seconds.
Code:
promo_maui_sng= new Image(218,167);
promo_maui_sng.src="promo_maui_sng.gif";
$100k= new Image(218,167);
$100k.src="$100k.gif";
promo_dirty_dozen= new Image(218,167);
promo_dirty_dozen.src="promo_dirty_dozen.gif";
chip_set= new Image(218,167);
chip_set.src="chip_set.gif";
promo_fort_knox_sng= new Image(218,167);
promo_fort_knox_sng.src="promo_fort_knox_sng.gif";
promo_rio_sng= new Image(218,167);
promo_rio_sng.src="promo_rio_sng.gif";
picturelist = new

Array(promo_maui_sng.src,$100k.src,promo_dirty_dozen.src,chip_set.src,promo_fort_knox_sng.src,promo_rio_sng.src)
linklist = new Array('promo_maui_sng','$100k','promo_dirty_dozen','chip_set','promo_fort_knox_sng','promo_rio_sng')

var i=1
var imagesrc = document.getElementById("picturelocation");
var linkaddress = document.getElementById("link");
var numpictures = 6;

setInterval("link.href='#' imagesrc.src = picturelist[i]; i++;if(i==numpictures){i = 0}",3000);
I can see that the images appear quicker but i am still using a lot of bandwidth up. I was wondering if once you pre-loaded the image it is stored on the temp internet folder and that image will be used. Or if it will keep going to the server for the image.

Cheers
MRMAN
