    history problem

    I have a page that I want to replace dynamically with another, using redirURL (or any other method I guess - if it works). But I don't want the history to know about it...

    <script>
    redirURL = "http://my.com/new.html";
    self.setTimeout("self.location.href = redirURL;",0000);
    }
    </script>

    This replaces the page.

    But self.replace.location, while hiding the action from the history, doesn't do the action! What can I be doing wrong?

    Thanks,

    Terry

    This should do it:
    Code:
    <script type="text/javascript">
    <!--
    location.replace('http://my.com/new.html');
    // -->
    </script>
