    Unhappy Need help with browser function

    Hi guys, i am a student currently developing a transaction site, which is my school project. i need to find out how i can stop or prevent user from clicking the back function on the browser. This is because i need to block people from clicking back to a transaction page after completing the transaction.

    It is not possible to disable the back button using JavaScript.

    Also, JavaScript runs on the client not on the server and can be blocked or switched off easily by the user. It should not be used on its own as a security measure.

    Make sure your checks and processing are handled by your server-side language (PHP, Java, ASP, etc) and look to handle things that way.
