    Question Minimum # of scripts per page?

    I'm probably doing something very obviously wrong. Trying to add this code

    <script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.geocities.com/cokepoet/fader.js">

    //Link Fader- By Fayez Zaheer (fayez@design64.net)
    //http://design64.net
    //Visit JavaScript Kit (http://javascriptkit.com) for script

    </script>

    to my page at http://www.geocities.com/cokepoet

    inside the <head> </head> area.

    When I put it in some places it works, but then my box in the top left doesn't float, and my scroll in the status bar does not scroll. When my floating box and scroll are working, the above fadout code doesn't work. Do I just have things out of order?

    Thanks for help again.

    Sorry, I meant to say maximum number in the title. But there isn't a max number of scripts in a page, is there?

    there's no maximum number of scripts, but they may conflict with each other.

    There is no max number of scripts the page can handle, however you might find that geocities does not allow certain functions. Can you add the fader.js back into the script so we can see how it works?

    Okay. I added the code right after the <head>

    The fader works, but now the floating box doesn't float and the script scroll in the status bar doesn't go. They both worked before I added this fader code.

    If I add it directly before the </head> , then the fader doesn't go but everything else is okay.

    I have tried it other ways, and now cannot get the floater and the scrolling to work, not matter where I put the fader code between <head> and </head>

    The floater works in fine in Firefox with the fader.js in.
