    Help?

    ok i was wondering if u can make a .php page BUT, make it display in an html page? here let me explane something first.

    i like to make webpages on my computer before i upload them..and i have windows witch doesnt support .php files. and i need to know if u can make a .php file, but have it be read from a plane old html file. is this posible?

    The browser will attempted to render anything you give it, but if you are expecting it to execute the php that is not going to happen. PHP only executes on the server side not in the browser.

    Also, you are posting in the javascript section instead of the php section.

    But anyways...

    Anything within <?php and ?> tags needs a php processor. It's like speaking german to your computer, even if you speak english and throw in the odd german word, the computer wont understand the german and only the english. So if you have it in a .php or a .html file you still need a processor. My recomendation if you really want work on these on your computer would be to go and download php framework at php.net and an apache server somewhere. That way you can view and process php code. And while your at it if you have high speed internet, you can even set up your own webhosting service lol.
