Rich Text Editor - Cursor "Starting Point" Problem

I'm having a bit of a minor problem with a Rich Text Editor I'm building. Basically, when unformatted text is entered for the first time and then I go to add a Bold, Italic, etc. style to it, the cursor jumps from the end of the line to the very beginning. This is not exactly a huge deal, but I'm sure there is a reason for this.

Please note that this problem only occurs on Mozilla-based browsers. No problems that I can see with IE.

    Thanks,

    Mike

you can create a range to do this, manipulate that way:
    Mozilla DOM Range Reference

There are also some very good, ready built rich text editors out there such as:

    hope this helps
