    Question

    I have a question for y'all.

I have seen some pretty handy codes in javascript that can do things that would probably be easier in php and server-side stuff, but I think this takes the cake.

Is it possible to create a client-side chat on a web page using html, javascript, or any client-side code? If so, has anyone ever created such a thing?

Server-side language (and a database pattern) are indispensable for a chat. A client-side language (as javascript) can not, alone, write or read something on the server, nor it can save information from a sesion to another (except, maybe, using cookies, but the information stored in a cookie is limited).

    Thank you,

I had a feeling that that was the case.
