    Redefining window attributes

In an open window, how can I redefine window attributes like height, width, menu off/on, scrollbars, toolbar etc.?

    Thanks in advance

You can redefine some features of a current window*, but not all.
You can change the height and width via the window.resizeTo() and resizeBy() methods.
You can change the top and left via the moveTo() and moveBy() methods.
You can also bring a background window to the front ('raising') - and vice versa ('lowering') using the focus() and blur() methods respectively.

(* some browsers offer users the facility to ignore a site's attempts to resize, move, raise or lower a window. This is a demand for these types of 'blocking' functionality as these methods have proved unpopular with users.)

The rest (e.g. scrollbars, toolbars, statusbar, …) can only be set by the author when using javascript to create a new window (window.open()).
